| Making high-end design and quality a tangible luxury for today’s fashionista, the Zara Terez handbag collection is the answer to every woman’s accessories wardrobe. Designer Zara Zimmerman’s vision to break through the fashion barriers of outrageously priced, look-alike “it bags,” and offer original designs that flaunt chic style and superior craftsmanship, as well as the individuality of the wearer, has grown from a passion into a thriving accessories label. Setting the collection apart, Zara Terez offers totally original silhouettes, supple embossed and metallic leathers, signature jewel-minded hardware and special, eye-catching interiors that boast whimsical prints—making each style head-turning, both inside and out.
Design has always been in Zara Zimmerman’s career blueprint. A third generation designer, she has drawn inspiration from her parents, who own a successful apparel business, and her Great-Aunt, Ruth Saltz, also a handbag designer. At just 22, Zara left her position at a private jet company to pursue her true calling, launching the Zara Terez collection in fall 2008.
New York is the driving influence behind each design, from Zara’s surfer-chic Atlantic Beach childhood to the metropolitan Manhattan she frequents. Including handbags for all fashion occasions from day to evening, the collection is divided into three style-defining categories, Clubbing, Strolling, and Schlepping.
Clubbing offers dressier, evening-minded bags. Strolling offers effortlessly chic daytime bags. Schlepping offers larger than life silhouettes perfect for toting all the essentials and then some. Each style pays homage to a different neighborhood located in the five boroughs of New York City, and reflects its character through silhouette, an eclectic mix of materials, and thoughtfully-placed details.
“With my collection, I have fused the cultural, environmental, and generational influences in my life to create beautiful, timeless handbags and make them accessible for stylish and independent women who want to look fabulous while maintaining their sense of individuality,” says Zara. |
